it is hard not to think of the economy these days, today in particular. while the kids are sheltered from most of it, certainly our thoughts turn to those who are most vulnerable -- people facing foreclosures, folks planning on retiring, young families, those in the service/leisure industry, and those seeking jobs now. i wish them the best in these difficult times.
k had a rough night. she woke frequently, and several times had screaming fits. apparently her rsh of red splotches is not going away which means a trip to the doctor tomorrow. r woke up happy though tired. they both had cards for their daddy's bday and eagerly "wrote" in them.
both had reasonably good days at school and were not as pleasant at home. r was inattentive and k tested a lot. all in all, it seemed like a short and tiring night. welcome to monday!
