R's fever came back. we are not sure what is going on. he still seems much better but perhaps he just a weaker immunity system than the rest of us. i have been thinking about his lack of immunity -- he always gets every cold and virus and it always seems worse than other people's. anyway, he was cranky and tired in the morning. but we managed to get to OT. he did some of hir more fine motor skills and declined to run around very much. k seemed chipper this morning and that was a big help. she was happy to see molly and anne at school.
on the way home, k talked a lot about her day while R was definitely starting to crash. we decided that the kids would have grilled cheese sandwiches. daddy suggested grilled monkey sandwiches. both kids responded with loud no's. i asked what dad should eat and we decided that he gets grilled pickle and banana sandwiches because daddy always talks about pickles and bananas. both kids really enjoyed the teasing.
at home, they relaxed and ate their dinners. afterwards we worked on more fine motor -- drawing, lacing, and putty. r read books with ruskin and k and i snuggled, read, and then she was out. wow, dad has it easy! k is such a snuggle-muffin. no wonder he wants me to put r to bed.
our friends had a new baby today. while we have not spoken with them yet, we wish them the best. welcome to the world little baby -- there is a whole community of family and friends who have been waited eagerly for your arrival with open arms and warm smiles.
