more corn

tonight the blog is short as i have a headache. everyone got to work and school ok in the morning. there was the usual whining right during and after breakfast as the time to leave approaches. the kids were reasonable as we counted busses on the way to the univ. again. after our goodbyes at the center and a long day of working, i was eager to say the kids again.

since i had the headache, i got to pick up K. she was quite adorable. we ran towards each other with arms open. though i did not quite get a hug as it became a game of chase instead. k led me to the lawn mowers and we played with those for a few minutes. and then we played marching band. R was playing with mira and had a much harder time getting ready to go. it was a little difficult to get him to the car without tears and whining. a little food helped in the car. both calmed down with more bus counting.

the kids got to watch sesame street because of my headache while dad made fresh corn and tomatoes. the kids and i snuggled on the couch while he prepped dinner. it was nice. dinner went quickly and k ate quite a bit of corn! More corn!

the kids opened their box from rocky mama -- R was very excited about his new CD playing clock radio -- now he can wake up to star wars. and k walked around with her paint with water books for most of the evening. mickey mouse she said. i did not know she knew about mickey mouse! thanks rocky mama for all the lovely presents! that is all for tonight...
