prep day

the blog will be short in anticipation of seeing many of the readers tomorrow!

R likes his watch and k likes her new piano -- thanks masee! K likes to carry it around and say music. r had a good acrobat class and was very proud of himself for all of his exercise. today was much better than last week. he could concentrate on his activities. he did lots of core strength and some fine motor work too. our homework: dig beads out of playdough, play with ice tongs, and do some yoga. more writing and pinching would be good. i think he will improve if he can really do more outside of the session at home and use it as the guide and then reinforce daily with "homework." i wish he was not going to miss a month of OT in august.

i dropped him off around 12:20 -- he ate lunch in the car on the way and standing at the table; K was working on falling asleep. she was quite cute. at pickup time, when i went into the toddler bungalow, k was sitting with steph and seemed quite happy. molly asked K if she wanted to show mommy her painting. we went outside and there were lovely pastel swirls and splotches in many different colors all over the ground. the kids had painted with colored food starch paint. it was very nice and K was proud of herself. after pickup, we went to longfellow grill for dinner. the kids were all riled up but ate ok. on the way home, k practiced yelling her no's. she is so funny. "kaya yellin." did you think we did not notice? we came home and focused on the bathing, packing, and getting ready. tomorrow will be quite an ordeal! 2 hours early to the airport, 2.5 hour flight, 4 hour car ride, so an expected travel time from 7:30am-6pm. wish us luck.

sounds like tomorrow will be a big adventure! But my real comment is, don't stop writing the whole time you're away just because you're going to see SOME of your readers.
