yes... it is more itchy.
so i asked R if being 4 felt different and as he answered the above as he scratched himself. well apparently turning 4 means staying up until midnight and then wanting a cake and presents. so it has been a fun and interesting time. we are sitting in a place with internet access finally. it has been a wireless week. we have been doing typical beach stuff and the children have been enjoying their time with grandma sue.
we left the desai's on saturday which was sad for the kids. R said that he wished that nani, nana, and rocky mama lived closer and that he could see them more. it was a touching moment. everyone took off for their various destinations. at grandma sue, belinda and aunt doris were waiting with sue for the lively youngsters who provided entertainment and amusement for all. R and K had a short nap afterwards and there was late afternoon time at the beach. sunday saw more of the same, late afternoon beach time and some dinner. Ruskin and K went for a walk for about an hour and a half. Dad must have some strong arm muscles to carry the 30 lb sack of potatoes around. she is quite happy to be carried and watch the waves.
Monday's highlight was a beach ride on a bicycle -- specifically a deuce coupe. we learned how old and out of shape mom and dad are. it is a recumbent side by side tandem bike with a "bumper seat" for the children. the pedaling was not so bad but the push on and off the beach nearly did us in. more up soon...
R's bday went well. he loves his legos and both kids received a lovely stash from sue and james. how spoiled they all are.
